Accident Ends Hand For Jackson Township Resident
Wm. Winn of Jackson township lost his right hand in a farm accident on November 18 while removing a stalk jammed in a corn sheller on Fred Lindsay’s property. Dr. F. T. Tyler of Crandall performed the wrist amputation. Winn is recovering and expected to be out soon. Rowe and Beanblossom run two touring cars on the Corydon Mauckport route with freight wagons on Monday Wednesday and Saturday.

Surprise Anniversary Party For Ordner Guests
In honor of Mr and Mrs Frank Ordner a surprise party was held at the home of Mr and Mrs Oscar Shuck Thursday evening. The Ordners were entertained at six o'clock dinner and remained until guests arrived. Mrs Ordner received three handpainted china pieces. Attendees played flinch then served ice cream and cake. Farmers Short Course to be Held in Corydon
Purdue University instructors will conduct the Farmers Short Course in Corydon December 2 8 and 4 with free admission. Demonstrations begin Monday at 1 PM and run through Wednesday with two evening sessions. Rooms at the Bullett building and Shack’s carriage building secured for demonstrations.

Dike Dies At Fifty Three In Corydon Area
William Dike died at his home five miles south of Corydon after a two week illness from typhoid fever at age fifty three. Funeral services were held at Perseverance Chapel and burial followed. He leaves a widow five children a brother Scott Dike and sister Mrs Emma Smith. A local farmers institute meeting is set for December 14 1912 at Highland Christian Church with talks on Clover Catch fruit trees gasoline power wheat sowing manure poultry and other farm topics.

Trains Confusion At Corydon Junction Causes Mixup
Last Monday evening Mr. and Mrs. Pat Mason and Mrs. Rebecca Mason with Charles Holyoke went to Corydon for court but rode the wrong train and were carried to Georgetown. They hired livery to return to Corydon and confusion at the junction was noted. Mrs. Adeline Miller died at Crandall on the 15th after a pulmonary illness. She leaves a husband and three sons Walter and Charles Miller of New Albany and Albert Miller of Alexandria. Funeral services were at Crandall M E Church on November 17 with burial in Bethlehem cemetery. Meech's advertises goods when others fail.
