John Danner and neighbors Herry Kittercoan Ora Tindall and Ira Frakes cut a bee tree on Danner’s Boone township farm on Monday night October 29 and harvested eighty pounds of honey.
Corydon High School girls basketball lost 9 to 4 to Elizabeth and the Corydon boys baseball won 10 to 5 in the follow up game. Players include guards Opal Reas Marjorie Juckett and Margaret Lahue and center Nellie Crawford. Referees Mikesell and Prage. Fowler and Crosier plasterers finished plastering two new brick business structures erected for The Corydon National Bank in Corydon. The corner building, to house Rosenbarger’s restaurant in Keen Cement, features snow white brick and will undergo close inspection.

George Stephens and Paul Harris visited Corydon to announce a national campaign to raise 35 million dollars for the YMCA. Indiana is asked for 1.5 million and four Floyd Clark Harrison Washington counties for 25 thousand. Details on solicitation methods and timeline were not provided.
