The Board of State Charities reports on its ninth year aiding dependent children. It notes 8 813 visits to children, 3 316 applications with 575 rejections, and 2 023 placed in homes. The program saves costs and aids community integration.

Evans. graves decorated by 3 p.m. Speakers include George Bonwasser and Rev. R. I Black. Cemetery procession follows. Memorial sermon earlier May 27 at Presbyterian church.
