Mrs. Mary A. Keller of Corydon died at age 86 after weeks with paralysis. Funeral at Corydon Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev. Mark L. Harris. Burial at Cedar Hill. pallbearers listed. Survived by husband Andrew C. Keller, six children, 15 grandchildren, and one great grandchild. Her Bottorff family long lived in Indiana.

Natural gas expansion reaches Corydon as welders near state capital

Miss Edith Roberts Teaches First Harrison School
School No. 18 in Harrison township closed on May 7 with Miss Edith Roberts as teacher. After a morning of regular work the pupils joined a fishing trip and a lunch followed. County Meeting of Knights of Pythias at Palmyra
The semi annual county meeting of the Knights of Pythias was held in Palmyra last Friday night. Delegates from Corydon Lodge No. 79 and members from Salem Fredericksburg and Huntingburg attended with about 90 local members. A Page rank was conferred on three Corydon members and Rev J G Moore gave an address. Refreshments followed as the Palmyra lodge, owner of its hall, grows in strength.

Dam peril as boatmen rescued near dam spillway
Fair weather lured Cavener Fugit of 223 West Water Street and two friends Walter Anderson of Corydon Indiana and Enos Beningham of Worthington Indiana to motor boat near a dam. The United States Coast Guard answered the trouble signal and rescued them just as the craft perilously neared the dam at the head of the sails.

Town women sent lunches to Legion headquarters while photographer Charles Jordan captured the scene in front of W S Shuck's livery stable. Jacob Bauer of New Middletown died Sunday night at 6 o clock from a complication of diseases at age forty five years six months and one day. Thomas Bridgman Jr. of Crandall died Saturday night at home aged about nineteen. He is survived by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bridgman a brother and two sisters. Funeral services were held at Crandall M E Church Tuesday afternoon with burial in Bethlehem cemetery. He had been in ill health a long time but not bedridden until the night of his death.

Mrs Sarah ER Shireman widow of Jacob Shireman died suddenly Saturday at 2 o clock at her daughter Mrs Thos Brandenburgs home northeast of Corydon where she had lived for years. She was 62 years 8 months and leaves Alonzo Otto and Mrs Ola Brandenburg. Funeral services were held Sunday at the U B church Corydon and burial followed at Jordan cemetery. The death came unexpectedly after illness Saturday evening.
