Miss Annalee Boland and Miss Florence West Flemming of Louisville witnessed the ceremony. The couple plan to reside in Anderson Indiana for their future home.

The Rev W W Tait and his family depart Corydon for Tecumseh Nebraska where he will serve as pastor of the First Presbyterian Church He has been minister here since September and his resignation followed Mrs Tait’s poor health The community recalls his broad fellowship and esteem across denominations as he preached a farewell sermon to a packed church and wishes accompany his family to happiness in the West.
Mrs Rebecca Byring of Boone township died at home on Tuesday night April 26 from a paralytic stroke after a long illness. She joined the Presbyterian church February 2 and lived a Christian life. Survived by husband Powis Byring Aguil and four children, including George Byring, Sarah Studts, Amy Fowler, and Amy Magee. Funeral at Lacoma Presbyterian Church conducted by Rev D L Parrison with burial in Wing Cemetery. She was 83 years, 2 months and days. She was a loving mother wife neighbor and friend.
Hays B McCallen died Wednesday morning April 26 at his Palmyra home after a long illness. He was 84, lifelong resident, prominent. Survived by widow, daughter Mrs Emmit Conts of Borden, and sons Eidl of Palmyra, Sam of St Louis, Seth of Nashville Tenn editor of the hip Law. Funeral Saturday afternoon, burial in Palmyra Cemetery.

Charles A Krause was freed from county jail Saturday after six months following a September term conviction for defrauding Alye Rosenbarver a local hotel keeper. He served thirty days in jail with a $50 fine and costs keeping him jailed for over half a year. A second case for perjury is pending with bond set for his appearance.

Mrs Mel Beard wife of Jesse R Beard died suddenly last Saturday at their home in Heth township after illness that afternoon. Dr Mathys Mauckport treated her. medicine caused vomiting and a ruptured blood vessel led to her death. Survived by husband and seven children Roy Beard Afrs John Routh Jesse Beard Emma Moran Mary Beard James Guthrie Lou Beard. Funeral at St Michael's Catholic church near Dogwood today. body awaited daughter Mrs Guthrie from Montana.
The Democrat reports its office on Market and Cherry streets is nearing completion. The new brick building is roofed, floors and ceiling done, walls to be plastered this week, doors and windows to be finished, and painting to follow before the move after court adjourns.

Anderson Thompson died at his Boone township home last Thursday at age fifty after long stomach and kidney illness. The raneoul was held at Rehoboth church with Rev. Jean of the Elizabeth MO circuit delivering the funeral sermon. He leaves a widow and two daughters, Mrs. Charles Brown and Mrs. William Zimmermann. He lived in the county all his life and was a respected citizen with many friends.
Mr and Mrs J A Lone announce the marriage of their daughter Eleanor Oveline to Afr Alva Andersen on February 2. The ceremony occurred at Curtis W Batlard residence Jeffersonville with Frank Oeden officiating. They will reside on North Market Street Corydon.
