New Corydon Bank to Open Amid County Financial Collapse

Death of Charles Miller at County Poor Farm

Charles Miller died at the County Poor Farm last Tuesday at age eighty three. He leaves a brother WP. A. Miller and sister Mrs. Lizzie Allison of Mauckport. An inmate there for years, he was given short grave services and buried at Mt. Zion cemetery in Heth township last Wednesday.

Poison mix up leads to death of James Underhill in Loulaville

James Underhill died in Loulaville on a Saturday in February after his daughter mistook a poison bottle for cough medicine. He had been ill and was taken to City Hospital where he died that afternoon. He left six daughters including Mrs. Mitchell and Mrs. Botts and a son in Texas. Burial was in Buena Vista Catholic cemetery after his body was brought to Taylor township.
