The Corpilen Democrat advertises rates for one to fifteen column notices and legal ads, with minimums and yearly discounts. It attacks Senate expenditures detailing petty items, tobacco, soap, and autographs, urging readers to scrutinize public spending and franking privileges.
The notice explains yearly and six month subscriptions with advance payment. It states papers won’t be discontinued except at the publisher’s option and requires notice before discontinuation. Arrears must be paid, and readers may be warned before any suspension.
The notice promotes ten cent subscription deals for Sewing Machines clocks watches and free gifts of the Rural American and New York Weekly Sun for one year. It claims low rates through January 1st next and urges early sign ups via C F Miner & Co New Brunswick New Jersey and other outlets. A.W. Brewster signs the appeal.
A 19th century ad claims the Dispensary offers cure for gonorrhea, syphilis and sexual debility using London Paris methods. It promises permanent cures, mail treatment, free confidential consultation, and secrecy. It also ships French male safes and Mad Capraul Female Monthly Pills by mail.
W N Haldeman of Louisville endorses a chill cure remedy. He cites long observation of patients including Mr R W Meredith and Mr Jehan Moris, reporting initial relief and sustained absence of chills for over six months to nine months, calling the remedy a valuable specify and promising product.
Dr Swipple of the city reports treating a long falling patient with Vita Cila and Ever who suffered chronic stomach issues diarrhea limb swelling and a severe cough for over two years. After four days on half doses of the medicine the patient recovered completely with no chills since. The physician endorses the remedy as a permanent cure and notes success in several cases over twenty years.
Dr A E Geoghegan leads testimony praising Limerick’s Chill Cure as a superior fever remedy. Kentucky physicians report long fever relief after using the tonic, claiming permanent benefit and urging adoption over quinine.
Dr Limerick declares his Chill Cure offers a permanent remedy with no return of chills. Wholesale houses in New Albany and Corydon authorized to sell at the same price as the laboratory. Dr Limerick & Co. distributes in Louisville and Corydon Indiana. notice dated May 2.
