Corydon Bank to Sell Old Building for New Site Saturday
The Corydon State Bank plans a new modern building on the lot north of the bank and south of the county jail. The old building on the site will be sold at public auction next Saturday June 17 at two o clock PM. The lot is 22 feet ten inches wide and about 100 feet deep reaching to the rear alley. The project aims to provide a bright north light through windows and a lobby banking room vault and directors room. A new structure beside Ed Browns two brick houses will enhance Corydon business district.

On Saturday June 10 Beta Chi Chapter Corydon hosted Miss Mary Wright head of Province 1 during her biennial inspection tour. She arrived from New Albany and Jeffersonville after examinations there the two days prior. Death of Honest Farmer John P Wurm Near Corydon
John Peter Wurm died at his home four miles northwest of Corydon after a long heart illness. He was seventy two years and ten days old and leaves a wife, a son A Wurm of Corydon, and a daughter Mrs Noble Flock. Funeral services were at Oak Grove church near Corydon with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery. he was a lifelong Lutheran and respected farmer.

A heavy wind and rain storm struck Corydon shortly after six in the morning causing extensive damage. Numerous shade trees were blown down including a large tree near John E.
