Lawrence Schuman Dies Veteran of Civil War
Lawrence Schuman died Monday at his home in New Albany at age eighty six. A funeral service was held from his residence on Wednesday afternoon led by Rev. Bo Edlemaier, with burial in the National Soldiers cemetery. He leaves a widow and one sister, Mrs. Edigabeth Straub of Corydon. He served in Company E K 88th Indiana Volunteers.

Posey Township Assessor Fryrear Dead at Home
Oscar Fryrear died Sunday afternoon at his Posey township home after a lengthy illness. He is survived by his wife. Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Catholic church in Buena Vista and the body was interred at Elizabeth Cemetery. Fryrear served as Posey township assessor.
