Grandest Celebration Parade in Corydon Illumines Nation Birth
Dawn described as the 12th natal day of the Republic with four batteries firing at 3 AM. A half mile parade on Chestnut Street featured Woodmen, bands, floats, and merchants from J J Bulleit & Son to Trotter & Co. Speeches by Major J S Pfrimmer Rev C G Aue and Senator J J Latollette highlighted the day.

Corydon Fourth of July Fair Draws Large Crowd and Contests

Andrew J Wallace died July 6 at his home three miles south of town from bladder illness in his 70th year. He leaves a wife and five children. A trusted community member who taught school for many years, he was interred at the Jordan burying ground on Monday.
