The Indiana Democratic platform attacks Congress reconstruction measures as revolutionary and warns against centralization. It defends Supreme Court independence, calls for tariff reform, greenbacks, abolition of National Banks, and fair taxation of bank shares and bonds. It opposes fifteenth amendment ratification and expands opposition to Know Nothingism while including humorous vignettes about a Boston heir and an icehouse fire.
Dr Smenick reports a patient with two year City and Fever suffering irritability, diarrhea, swelling and coughing found relief after half dose of his medicine for four days. The patient remained well with no further chills and the doctor endorses the remedy as a safe permanent cure. G S Whipple MD also praises the treatment and its long standing effectiveness.
A River View Kentucky notice from September 10 1868 touts Dr A E Geoghegan as an experienced fever specialist and endorses Limerick's Chill Cure. John Brown G S Hilson testify the remedy cured chills and prevented relapse for months after typical treatments failed. A E Geoghegan M D signs the certification of success.
An advertisement touts Dr. Limerick’s Chill Cure as a greatly improved tonic beyond controversy. It claims purity, harmlessness, and certainty, urging readers to buy a bottle and stressing that no other remedy is genuine.
The Courer-Journal notes extraordinary success for Dr. Limerick's Chill Cure. It asserts the cure is permanent with no return of chill. It lists authorized wholesale sales in New Albany Corydon and Louisville with the same price, dated May 25 1869.
