John Krush, aged 76, collapsed while returning to his house after unloading a load of wood. He suffered heart trouble and likely suffered a heart attack en route. Survived by widow, two daughters Tena Ollis of Palmyra and Cora Nale of Fredericksburg, plus sister Caroline Mott and brother George Krush. Funeral at Palmyra resumed Monday with Rev. Jos. Bunch. burial in Palmyra.

Leona Smith died December 27 at her Benton County home near Fowler. Her burial followed in Elizabeth after services at the M. E. church conducted by Rev. Kitt. Mrs. Bessie LaDuke wife of Chas LaDuke died unexpectedly Monday night at about 10:30 at the Laduke home in Posey township. The couple wed Monday and a wedding dinner was held at Guthrie LaDuke home. A crowd of neighbors held a charivari later, then Mrs. LaDuke collapsed and died. Burial will be in New Albany where her son lives. Sympathies are offered to Mr. LaDuke.
