Jap W. Turley of Harrison township announces his candidacy for the Democratic nomination for Harrison County Treasurer. He is a 50 year old farmer, lifelong resident, married with six children, and has prior service as County Treasurer and Secretary of the Harrison County Agricultural Society. He also led the Ohio Valley Fair Circuit and served as President of the Fair Association, noted as honest, sober, and industrious and qualified for the office.

John KR Finley born April 6 1876 Palmyra Indiana died January 20 1918 at his brother John H Finley home in Chicago after nine months illness. Heart trouble and dropsy led to bed rest. he leaves brother sister and nephew relatives in Corydon. Burial at Mount Greenwood Chicago. Also notice sale by Howard E K Dyer of property five and a half miles northeast of Corydon on February 27 at 9 30 a m.
