Traveling salesman Gilmore killed by Louisville train
W B Gilmore formerly of Leavenworth and brother of Mrs Popham and Mrs Wright was struck by a train at Fourteenth and Pirtle streets Louisville on the th inst. He died at St Josephs Infirmary four hours later. He was 48, survived by a wife and three children. Funeral services were held in Louisville and body taken to Leavenworth.

Partridge Consignment Aids New Game Preserve
A consignment of fifty Hungarian partridges arrives from the State Fish and Game Commission to Jesse Thornbury. They will be housed through the winter and released in the game preserve southwest of town. The preserve spans over 3000 acres owned by local farmers with a four year hunting ban, except on private land for owners and tenants to hunt squirrels and rabbits in season. The Birds are described as beautiful and heavy, and the preserve includes Little Blue River, promising strong stock for the future.

Charles J Trotter 41 died at 4 PM yesterday at his sister Mrs J R Sullivan's home 117 South Cherry Street. Death caused by dropsy after months of illness. He came from Colorado four weeks ago and is survived by four sisters Mrs J R Sullivan Mrs RB Conrad of San Antonio Mrs Weltmer and Mrs J E Dillon of St Louis.
