Efforts to Nominate Congress Candidate Delayed by Court
Judge Cox of the Bedford Circuit Court issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Democratic District Committee of Indiana Third District from nominating a candidate for Congress for the November 1922 election. The order follows a complaint by Robert C. Brown seeking to prevent a July 10 Jeffersonville meeting and any nomination that would affect Brown’s ability to file a petition for nomination under Indiana election law. The ruling continues until a Septem ber 1922 court session for full hearing.
