Out of business sale marks end of Berman's store in Corydon with deep discounts on Spring and Summer clothing and shoes for men women and children. Customers urged to hurry as doors will close soon and stock must be turned into cash.
J C Adams of Corydon Janetson received a check from the Southern Railroad Company for 4754 dollars in payment of a Harrison Circuit Court judgment rendered over three years ago. The accident occurred January 25, 19u, when a Southern Railway coach overturned near New Albany. Adams was injured and hospitalized.
The St Paul Methodist church and James A Minter’s barn in Boone township were consumed by a Thursday night blaze. Losses include church furniture valued near 1000 and Minter’s barn with stock, hay, and tools. the barn fire likely started from the church fire. No insurance covered the church.
The Harrison County coroner reports the death of Miles Jopes aged 21 as the cause is suicide by self inflicted harm. The inquest determined death occurred on the 2ath of April from age related illness and self harm, with no other persons involved.
Mrs Emma D P Looney of Memphis writes she suffered misery for eight years and after Cardui became stronger and did not miss a meal. Cardui is said to go deeper to give strength and relieve female troubles including headaches backaches and dizziness. Also a notice seeks 50 carpenters with tools for a new Kosmos Portland Cement plant starting May 10 in Kosmosdale Kentucky.
McMinnville resident Mrs. Oole Jett says Cardus kept her alive after 27 days of illness and helped her work again. Her doctor advised surgery but she refused, taking Cardui instead to relieve pain, strengthen nerves, and restore energy.
Miss Lelia Sanders daughter of Mr and Mrs Frank Saarders Spencer township and Mr Grover Bates Corydon Junction were married in Jeffersonville last Thursday. The bride is popular in Spencer township and the groom a graph operator for the Southern Railway at Corydon Junction. They are described as highly respected young people.
The infant daughter born April 17, 1915 died the same day. She is laid to rest in Heidelberg cemetery beside her parents. Survived by father, mother, four sisters and five brothers. The verse notes the brief life and heavenly gain.
T A Bean of New Albany left for Indianapolis to undertake the Pasteur treatment. Dr H B Shacklett, secretary of the City Board of Health, received a report from the State Board of Health noting a collie dog that attacked Mr B about ten days earlier tested positive for rabies, with hydrophobic symptoms in canines in New Albany cited as the third such case.
