Hospital Commissioners Choose Leaders For Insane Hospital Site
The Board of Commissioners to locate the Southeastern Hospital for the Insane met at Governor Hanley’s Indianapolis office and organized. Governor Hanley was elected President with George A. Shideler as Secretary Ephraim Inman as Treasurer. Members include John McCardle and D D Jacobs. They plan a May 3 meeting to hear from city committees seeking the location for the new hospital, funded with 560000 from the last Legislature. The Commercial Club committee will represent New Albany at the May 3 session.

Death of James Deschamp in Corydon area
James Deschamp of the Corydon area died April 1 1905 age years after a severe illness. He leaves a wife a infant child seven brothers and a sister and other relatives Racca. The funeral was held at Hill Grove Cemetery the day after. He was regarded as an excellent citizen and highly respected. Trustee Patterson is recovering from a severe grip attack.

John Wakefield McIntire aged 78 died on the 18th from complications of disorders. He served four terms as magistrate in Boone township and was active in the M E church with strong religious convictions. Survived by four children Ben F. McIntire Boulder Colorado Scott McIntire Frederick Oklahoma Walter McIntire and Mrs Albert M Brown. Funeral held the 19th at his home conducted by Rev Geo Lamb. Buried in family ground.

Mrs. Cunningham widow of Douglass Cunningham of New Amsterdam died after a lingering illness. The funeral was held yesterday at New Amsterdam with obsequies under the Tribe of Ben Hur, lodge of which she was a member. She leaves two children.

Mrs. Ramsey wife of Howard Ramsey of the Blue River Gazette died at her Fredericksburg home. Interred at Wood's chapel cemetery Jackson township. A child died of typhoid fever and another son is seriously ill. The Ramsey family has sympathy in this bereavement.
