The Democrat announces five incumbents seeking renomination: J P D Pitman Treasurer Peter S Wright Sheriff Philip Herter and Frank Cunningham County Commissioners and Wm S Nye Coroner. Pitman is serving his first term since Jan 1 1912 and is praised for diligent work and safe county funds. Wright has run since 1910 and is noted for ensuring strong office management. Herter and Cunningham are renominating for the Board with a record of handling tough issues alongside R F Davis and T J Stevens. Nye seeks a second term as Coroner after being elected in 1910, with the party backing him. Nye faces opponent W Ie Conner of Elizabeth, while the others have no opposition.

Separately reported, revival meetings in Mauckport end after five weeks with local pastors aiding each other. The Crosier Co offers farm tools and Berman’s bankrupt stock of Easter suits at deep discounts.
An eight member Senate committee reported on William C. Lorimer's Illinois election. The majority supported Lorimer, exonerating him, while the minority urged his seat be vacated for improper conduct. Despite the majority finding, public belief favors guilt.
Greenbrier school No 2 closed on Saturday March 23 after a splendid term teacher Miss Blanche Davidson led a joyous program. Pupils welcomed parents with a big dinner and sang and spoke, Nora Byrn won a song prize Does this Rail Road lead to Heaven. Neville Miller won Halleck prize for best senior speaker at Boys High School. Benj F Zimmerman left for Tekoa Washington after six months in the county. Hon Philip Zoercher of Tell City Perry county is the Democratic nominee for Reporter of the Supreme Court in Indiana. He is a lawyer and German, praised for his qualifications and support from county delegates. The four year office currently held by Hon George W Self pays $5000 yearly.
Mrs. Eliza Epperson of Tecumseh Oklahoma credits Cardui with saving her life.
