Catharine Farquar, 81, died of pneumonia Thursday at her sister Mrs. Agnes M. Jordan's North Market Street home. Born 1821 in Corydon, she was the oldest native resident and a longtime M E church member since 1836. Funeral held Friday with Rev. Jeffrey. burial at Cedar Hill. Widely beloved and affectionately known as Aunt Kitty.

Corydon Awards Water Works Contract to Doolittles
Five bids for a complete water works plant ranged from 15 768 to 35 000 dollars. Messrs Doolittle of Corydon won the contract with a 17 690 dollar bid and a 10 000 dollar bond. The system draws water from the Blue spring, with a 350 000 gallon reservoir and 75 to 80 psi pressure, plus 125 psi via steam for fires. This marks Corydon's first municipal ownership venture.

Mary Lopp Will Probated In Leavenworth
