In Corry on Sept 27 three young workers were injured when a touring car driven by Miss Mary Byte struck two women and a man at the intersection of Orsoyon and Chuso streets. Miss Rizzaired and Atlas Booker were injured while the others escaped with minor wounds. The driver and car occupants fled as bystanders aided the victims. Local doctors treated the injured and police investigated the crash.
Homer Whipple of Connellsville faces a charge of wounding and battery after his automobile allegedly struck twelve year old John Martin near a lot in September. The boy was severely injured with a fractured jaw and other injuries, and the elder Martin says the child may not recover. Whipple contends the boy ran into the car’s path.
