Nationalist convoy delivers major supply push to Quemoy

A large Nationalist convoy reached Quemoy delivering anticipated cargo after a night bombardment. From Linolo Beach observers saw 18 amphibious vehicles unload, with capacity estimated up to 54 tons and possibly 150 to 200 tons today.

Local Vandals Released On Bond In Two Counties

Four youths from the four party area were arraigned in Warren County on charges of property destruction in Erie and Warren counties. They pled guilty and were released on 300 bond each, with next quarter sessions court in Warren. Earlier in Erie County they pled guilty and were released on 1500 bond each. Vandals wrecked gravestones and a railroad signal, with damages around 350 dollars following a beer party.

Local Man Tries Gas, Mental Examination Follows

Police reported a man and his brother barricaded in a Lemon Street room and opened gas. Officers found the women and tipped one for a mental evaluation. He was admitted to North Warren State Hospital. A nearby report notes the man moved from Erie recently. Dr Emil G Schmidt, 63, a Maryland University biochemistry head, died in his Baltimore apartment on Thursday.
