Million Dollar Fire Destroys Pittsburgh Warehouse
A general alarm blaze in Pittsburgh West End caused extensive damage. Fire Chief Stephen Adley estimated about 1 million dollars in damages, while owner Robert Buschwash valued losses at 1.5 million. The fire began in a box car beside the concrete block building, and jumped to the warehouse as plastics, paint, and thinners fueled the flames.
