In St Paul Minnesota a Sunday opium raid at the Dawistowis hotel left federal narcotics chief A M Bangs age 50 dead from a heart shot and associate Joseph Winkler age 27 wounded. Virgil Magnuson and Wong were captured as three other men were held as witnesses. The suspects named Jimmy Wong Mason Guy Ta Len Wong and Yee Wong were jailed on murder suspicion and as material witnesses.
