Injunction Halts Erie Strike Disorder
In Brig, Sept 24 a preliminary injunction was granted by Judge J. P. Rossiter in Erie county court to restrain irregularities by former and substitute drivers in a transportation dispute. Attorney Charles H. English represented FE. H. Scott as the court petition sought immediate relief. The writ would become permanent within days unless striking workers appeared to show cause. The dispute arose after the transport company moved to cut wages from six to zero for one minute trips, triggering the walkout and police action in both cities.
