Sanders sought as versatile lineman for Mount Union Raiders
Corry star Walter Pete Sanders, a senior at Mount Union College, is being groomed as a jack of all trades on the Raider forward wall. The short, stocky lineman earned three monograms in 1992, 1953 and 1954, and is a top candidate for the starting right guard spot while occasionally seeing tackle duty. Coach Duke Barret may shift him again but prefers a fixed position. Sanders seeks his third college letter this season after winning numerals as a sophomore and junior and receiving the Thorpe Memorial Award last year, Mount Union’s top gridiron honor.
