Urge Senate to hasten peace ratification without amendment

A broad, nonpartisan petition from prominent Americans in New York and other states urges immediate ratification of the peace treaty with Germany without amendments. Signers include ex-President Taft, Carrie Chapman Catt, George W. Wickersham, Samuel Gompers, Harvey Wheeler, and many leading figures from law, business, education, and politics. The appeal warns that delay deepens global peril and domestic unrest while seeking prompt, clear peace to end the war’s shadow.
