At Federal Allen Poe Elementary School in Houston a bomb explosion killed six people including a pupil and a teacher. The attacker, Orgeron, pressed a doorbell trigger minutes before enrolling his son and others. eighteen were hospitalized with critical injuries and amputations reported. Donald E. Brown 25 of Sugar Grove died in a head-on crash five miles west of Warren on Route 6. In Lincoln England four men used a rabbit punch to the back of the neck to ease the agony of John Fox who died trapped in a burning cab after a collision. William Marsland testified they struck Fox as flames rose, Fox pleading for mercy. The coroner ruled the death accidental and warned against such actions.

Harold Jewell of 367 East Pleasant Street was convicted by a jury of morals charges involving his daughter. Judge Burton Laub reminded him of county prison and will sentence Monday.
