The piece argues that the Stop Roosevelt movement is a GOP shadow boxing effort to curb Roosevelt’s majority, asserting conservatives are driving the New Deal through public support of Roosevelt’s policies rather than opposing them. It stresses that voters should back Roosevelt if they approve his agenda and that attempts to “stop Roosevelt” aim to hinder the reform coalition forming the New Deal.
