Old Confidence Game Lands Two in Penitentiary
In Dubois Pennsylvania on September 16 Nino Puldenelli and Tony Lazzereno pleaded guilty to multiple counts of confidence fraud. Judge Durr sentenced Puldenelli to 4 to 9 years in the Western penitentiary and a $200 fine plus restitution of $4,600. Lazzereno received 2 to 4 years and a $100 fine with the same restitution. The case stems from a money box scheme that bilked fidelfis families in Sykesville of $4,880 and $1,700 in separate incidents. Lazzereno was captured in Erie on June night by Detective Hugh Jeffrey and Chief of Police R. R. Love. Puldenelli was cornered in The Flat district and reportedly shot at but wounded by Chief Love.
