The Columbus Community United Church of Christ welcomes Rev. Irvin R. Lindemuth as pastor on Sunday September 25. He previously led Faith United Church of Christ in Philadelphia for 12 years and Birmingham Congregational in Pittsburgh for 11 years, with prior roles in Maine and Pennsylvania. Hostesses were Mrs. Janelle Kelsey and Mrs. Kathy Mitchell at Ray Amy’s West Washington home. 22 guests attended. gifts and luncheon refreshments noted. The couple will wed September 24 at St Thomas the Apostle Church.
The SemI annual Dean's List for Westminster College in New Wilmington Pa honors students with 3.5 GPAs. Leann McCray, daughter of Randall J McCray, is among nominees. The Corry Communications Citizens Band Radio Club held its third annual Coffee Break at the Elgin Beaver Dam Fire Hall with 22 towns represented and multiple prize awards. Community notices include senior citizens meeting, church services and Methodist Women activities with officers elected for the new term.
The Corry Memorial Hospital Auxiliary held its annual card party at Venture Inn with Mrs. Marge Eastman as general chair. Prizes included a lamp, afghan, pillow set and tool box. Chinese auction winners were Esther Sickler, Joan Callahan and Rose Bennett. Also noted were upcoming Writers Club plans and a Berean class banquet with guest speaker Dr. P H Augustine.
