Meadville Boy Shot Self While Hunting
Clayton Karns aged 16 son of Mr and Mrs Peter Karns accidentally shot and killed himself this afternoon near Vernon township Meadville United Press reports. He and a companion were shooting at a mark when a log seat startled a bird. Karns tried to lift the gun toward the bird and discharged it hitting his heart. The companion ran for help but the boy was dead on discovery.

Water Co Begins Actual Work On New Extension
A crew of sight men began work today on the Corry Water Supply Company extension in the First ward. The $4,500 project adds about three thousand feet of main and two hundred feet on Bat Street. Fire destroys vast farm buildings in Columbus area
A fire at a farm two miles from Columbus destroyed a large barn and silos, causing an estimated loss over seven thousand dollars. Sparks from an engine used to fill silos ignited the blaze as cows, hay, and grain burned. six calves and one driving horse perished. Firefighters and local crowds could not save the property, with rebuilding expected to cost much more.
