Fire destroys two story home in Oil City
A two story frame dwelling at Petroleum Center owned by Mrs. Carre Tracey and occupied by Mr. and Mrs. Clarence McCauley and their two children burned before 3 a.m. Fire origin undetermined. Thorsay Meehan, 87, father of Mrs. McCauley, suffered severe burns while escaping. he is reported in good condition at City Hospital.

Jamestown deputy named temporary chairman in Mayville meet
Swanson of Jamestown was named temporary chairman of the Chautauqua County Deputy Sheriffs Association at its first meeting in Mayville last night. Eighty five attended. Warren Board of Health reports no change in the infantile paralysis situation in the borough. The two previously reported cases remain under quarantine as no new cases have developed.
