Father Freed In Death Of Son By Brick Incident
A coroner's jury found the death of Claude Foley Jr. the result of an accident after a brick hurled through an automobile window killed the two year old while father Claude Foley Sr. faced questioning at the scene. Foley admitted heavy beer intake at a picnic and remembered little of the moments leading to the tragedy. He testified that he struck a woman and then an unknown man with a coat, before the brick tossed as the car passed struck the child. The family and witnesses described a chaotic moment as the brick shattered the rear window and the child died hours later from a skull fracture. The coroner's jury absolved Foley of involuntary manslaughter. The piece also lists church events and services across multiple local congregations.
