Fourteen Sentences in Erie County Court In One Day
Guilty pleas to various charges including auto theft and illegal liquor sales were heard by Judge Burton R. Laub in Erie County Court. James A. Shea, from Boston, received 25 years for theft of a $900 item, with a prior criminal record. Raymond E. Wilson, 33, of Los Angeles, got 13 years. George Bobango of Erie avoided prison, receiving a $300 fine after requesting a guilty plea in April. Michael Samarco, barber shop proprietor, was fined 250 dollars and jailed 30 days, convertible to one week on payment. Harry Panceroff faced additional penalties for illegal sale of liquor.

Funeral services for Thomas K. Richards were held Tuesday afternoon at 2:90 o'clock at Bracken-hunting Funeral Home with Rev. Patl Baer of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. Relays served as bearers and interment followed at Pine Grove Cemetery. Attending from away were Mrs Alice M. Richards and numerous relatives and friends from Bemus Point, Cambridge Springs, Cortland, and nearby towns.

Sept 6 Mrs Melvin Keller of 16 Jackson avenue shot the only reported hole in one at Cnewinne Valley Course on Saturday. It marks the first such feat in the town's history for a woman, with earlier holes in one credited to Mrs Aarold Baughart.
