Doylestown Pa Sept 6 Democratic candidate Dilworth charges Gov James Duff with depriving about 100000 Pennsylvanians in the armed forces of their ballot this fall. He says Duff rejected July requests for a special session to enable absentee voting for servicemen, making November 7 vote participation impossible.
The Federalised 28th Infantry Division with Company VW units moves from all sections of the state to Camp Atterbury Indiana from September 10 to 13 as orders were issued by Army officials. Col James G Mackey announced arrival in Indiana training camp by September 15. Brig Gen T Linny Hoban led staff officers by plane to Warristle to begin advance movement.
Two one vehicle accidents occurred at nearly the same spot on Route and were investigated yesterday. A 1998 Ford owned by William Clark, 21, of Spartansburg, sustained about 100 dollars in damage. Clark and his brother Everett Clark, 9, suffered minor injuries. In the second incident, a logging truck driven by Horace Hankin, 37, of Beat Luke lunge through a guard rail, damaging several posts but Hankin escaped injury.
Police report a nervous robber robbed a Pittsburgh Consumers Discount Company office of $1200 cash yesterday. The gunman held employees at pistol point during the heist on the second floor then led them down a stairway.
A Corry child is reported as a polio victim at Lakeview Hospital in Erie yesterday. The Erie physician assigns a tentative diagnosis while the Lake View home address is cited with a teen correspondent noting limited details and local concern about the outbreak.
