Corry UC Defendants Indicted By Grand Jury
A September grand jury in county court indicted 24 defendants including Charles Tillack Erie charged with larceny by employee. Funds missing from meters prompted dismissal of several Erie Parking Authority workers. Vivian Pamula Erie 38 faces poisoning charges after rat poison was found in a cat food bowl. neighbors’ cat owner hospitalised. Total indictments over two days reach 44 with several more counts against Hicks Corry drunk driving Thomas James Transite Corry and Beezubs Union City for burglary and malicious mischief.

Break Ground For Expansion Of Rouse Home in Wariereunion
Ground has been broken for a $1 million expansion at the Rouse Home. Commissioners approved a $750 architectural fee for remodeling the main building not in the original plan. Remodeling costs are estimated at $55,000 with Beck Tinkham Beyer of Jasmestown to provide schematic designs. Work on remodeling will begin after current project finishes. Commissioner Mead opposed the $750 fee. Chairman Crippen noted remodeling would not be Hill-Burton eligible but other funds could be explored.

No Bus Rides For Parochial Students In Erie
Erie School District will not provide bus transportation for parochial elementary students in 1965 66. Louis Tullio, secretary and business manager, said districts must provide buses for parochial transport only on established public routes. He noted the district has never served its own elementary students beyond one and one half miles of their schools, so it cannot serve parochial students.
