Mr and Mrs F C McCloskey announced plans to move their bakery from 469 East Main to the former Imperial Hotel at First Avenue and West Main Street. The first floor is remodeled for larger, accessible space with new decor while the second floor provides living quarters and the owners plan further renovations on the third and fourth floors for about fifteen rental rooms. Scheduled to reopen Monday with new box ties and expanded operations as a major improvement on the avenue.
Mrs Thompson Howe of Lawrence Station Ontario recounts seeing an American Airlines plane crash on a farm near her home.
