A Historical Circle meeting in the Library Building featured readings from several members. Articles included America of Today by Mrs. BR , Is Civilization on the Verge of Collapse by Mrs. Emma Dean, The Most Famous Words of all Literature by Mrs. William Houghton, Electricity is Its Infancy by Mrs. Cora Crippen. The group adjourned after discussing the program and set the next meeting for November 6.

Pleads Guilty To Check Charges In Erie County Court
A girl pleaded guilty to passing five worthless checks in Erie County Court before Judge William B. Hirt. The court ordered probation officer Telen Spencer to investigate her past and indicated she would be sent to a correctional institution. She claimed to have quit town after her mother threatened reform school. later admitted passing at least 35 worthless checks. Only two charges were pressed. Funeral planned Friday for Harry Wilson Mubley in Parker, Pennsylvania. A meat stove andJoin Drake items were offered for sale.
