Marine Lance Corporal and Two Girls Killed in Niobe Crash
A Marine Corps lance corporal and two Jamestown teenagers died when their car crossed a curve, hit a bridge railing over Little Brokenstraw Creek, and plunged into the water near Niobe. Coroner Ralph Wallace said all three died of multiple injuries at the scene. The trio were L Cpl Karl M Vogler 19 of Lawrence Massachusetts Cynthia J Swanson 15 and Cheryl L Church 16 both of Jamestown New York. The incident was reported around 4 50 a m by a construction worker returning home.
