Delegates from Allentown Meadville Tivaville Union City Sinesse Cambridge Springs Sharonville Ol City Beaver Falls Pittsburgh and others attended District No. 1 B Order of Eastern Star sessions at the Masonic Temple and Parish Hall A luncheon was served with elaborate floral decor and a guard of honor of forty five past matrons. Grand officers and visiting district deputy grand matrons were present in a formal program of presentations and work.

Pantages Faces Jail Sentence On Conviction

Los Angeles, Oct. 28. Alexander Pantages, famed West Coast showman, was found guilty of assaulting 17 year old Eunice Pringle and faces a mandatory one to forty year term in San Quentin. The jury of seven women and five men deliberated 53 hours. His wife Lois Pantages was found guilty of manslaughter a month earlier.

Penn State Night Classes Registration Night

Registration for Penn State extension courses offered by the Engineering Extension Department is tonight and tomorrow night. Saraceno to Face Hearing in Warren Tomorrow

Saraceno will get a hearing in Warren Tuesday on a charge tied to the disappearance and murder of two Erie Italians. He has been held at Warren County jail since October 1 and surrendered to police in Erie. Autoists Injured in Series of Crashes Near Columbus Ohio

A Saturday-Sunday string of crashes near Columbus injured several people and killed one. The most serious incident happened west of Berry Corners when a Lakewood driven sedan left the road, smashed into a concrete culvert, and hurled four occupants through the windshield. Mrs. Nettle Johnson, 45, suffered multiple fractures and possible internal injuries. others including Stewart Stafford, Mrs. Louiss Smart, and Betty Smart sustained bruises and minor injuries. The car was brought to Ford Garage after hours of searching. A separate crash on Bare Creek road damaged Vincent Connelly’s new Marquette coupe, while another accident near St Thomas cemetery left James Maloney and relatives shaken but unhurt.

Rotary Club Ladies Night at Hotel Corry
