Erie County voters show 132,542 registered for the upcoming general election, 381 fewer than the 192,923 registered in November. Salt Bids Approved by Corry City Council
At a special meeting Corry City Council approved advertising for bids on the upcoming refuse contract. Bids for 600 tons of road salt were also authorized with bids to be opened November 15. City Administrator Robert Grice said the state will not send salt this year but will partially reimburse the city in cash. The refuse contract bids will be opened at the November 22 meeting.

Four Lions Shot After Night Attack On Animals
In Ringgold Georgia seven 400 pound lions escaped a private 35 acre menagerie trapping the owner in her house. Officers killed four lions and recaptured one with two remaining at large as more than a dozen officers hunted near the Tennessee line.
