Cincinnati dispatch reports Captain Augustus Kirschner, 64, owner of the Ben Franklin and the Arthur Hitler tow boats, was killed last night after surprising a burglar in his Cincinnati residence. His son Breton Kirschner and a young companion were present as the intruder fled.
Eugene Burlingame of 105 Franklin street, veteran railway mail clerk and former Corry assistant postmaster, died at Corry hospital after long illness. Born August 22 1866 at Payton Alta, he joined the railway mail service in 1899 and retired 1932. Survived by his widow, funeral at Bracken-Keating chapel Monday 2 PM with burial in Pine Grove cemetery.

Ridgway Pa Oct 25 Arthur Yates 11 accidentally killed himself while examining a 2 calibre rifle. His mother had bought the rifle for him and he was unfamiliar with its operation. The bullet struck his abdomen causing instant death as the county coroner investigated the accident.

Washington Oct 25 The committee of public utility executives said amendments to soften the Utility Holding Company Act of 1935 would be offered in Congress unless the act is declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court. If constitutional, they will redouble efforts to make the act regulatory not destructive and will work with the SEC to prepare new rules.

Newgreen had a prior fine for driving without a license. Rauscher did not attend the initial hearing and was later jailed for a morning hearing. Southworth, Corry, initiated action for damages to his machine after being struck at North Center and Bond streets on October 3. Damages suits will be brought against Newereen for the other machine.
Jonn a awit and Aaron atreet were fined $90 in costs and jailed for 60 days in Erle canty Prison after arraignment before Judge A P Rossiter on charges of passing worthless checks. The case was heard in county court yesterday.
