Mrs. Katherine Hammond and her daughter Miss Lelia Hammond of Oil City were injured when an automobile driven by Miss Elizabeth Darley skidded on a wet South Main street approach to a railroad crossing in Union City. Mrs. Hammond fractured a bone in her right leg and Lelia suffered facial cuts. Darley escaped with a shaking.

New York October 25 Obair nish Raskob from the Democratic national committee said he believes Senator Hiram Johnson of California may follow Senator Norris of Nebraska in supporting Alfred E. Smith for president. When asked if Johnson would, Raskob smiled and said he ought to, Johnson is understood to have omitted in his own campaign references to Herbert Hoover, another Californian. Raskob praised Morris’ clear endorsement of Smith with satisfaction.
An inquiry by Allegheny division officials into derailed passenger train No. 903 near Hydetown found the switch left open by a nearby work crew as the cause. The gondola was diverted onto a siding, derailing the train but causing no serious injuries. Mrs. Rachel Dawkins 60 Vandergrift sustained a minor facial cut from shattered glasses. A wrecking crew arrived around 4 AM to rerail cars and repair the roadbed.

Mrs Franke Lupinsky aged 59 of Forty Wort died in Mercy Hospital after being wounded Sunday by her husband who later killed himself in an apparent domestic tragedy.
