Thirteen County Men Plead Guilty in Court
Thirteen county men appeared before President Judge Elmer L Evans in county court yesterday and pleaded guilty to motor violations. Thomas S Lesniewski of Erle was fined 100 dollars and jailed seven days for drunken driving after an August 28 arrest. Joseph Kostorek of Eric received 50 dollars and three days for drunken driving after a September 15 accident on 12th Street and Lincoln Avenue. Lee Duane Yost of Waterford RD 3 was fined 30 dollars and jailed four days for hit and run on October 19.

Mrs. Meltha Weaver of Erie mourns two sons killed in Korea. Clyde M Weaver, 20, was killed in action October 15 after leaving for Japan in June to replace his brother Pte Charles Weaver, who fell in action April 5. The defense department notified the family.

Car Crash in Altoona Kills 19 Year Old and Injures 18 Year Old
A car carrying two young couples crashed into a tree in Jurisia suburb early today. Vivian Angus 19 of Cresson was killed. Louise Felus 18 of Gallitzin was hospitalized with a leg injury and possible skull fracture. One male passenger said the car's speed spiked before the curve.

Canadians win first event at the Harrisburg horse show
The Canadian team led by W. R. Ballard Charles Baker Jr and Tom Gayford won the opening event of the three day international low score competition at the Pennsylvania National Horse Show in Harrisburg. The trio accumulated eight faults while defeating the United States team which posted twelve faults.
