Warren Airport to Be Replaced by County Run Facility
The Warren Borough owned airport will be abandoned within years as the Route 6 bypass proceeds and a larger county facility is planned. The master plan outlines three relocation sites with FAA standards for runways of 2000 to 8000 feet, noting wind, terrain, and access factors. Potential sites include Scandia Air Park in Elk Township, a Watson Township hilltop near Route 337, and a site near the Kinzua Dam with an east–west runway.
