Salary Dispute Takes Court Stage in County Office
In Marquette, Oct 20, a salary dispute over Scott Way, chief registration clerk, was argued before Judges Hist, Mies, and Kitts as the county salary board remains divided after ten months. The case traces to Way’s January appointment and involves County Commissioners Schluragf, Mattes, Blair, and County Controller Will’s who fail to agree on wages. A separate note states James Kelly, 89, who voted 17 times, learned he is not a U.S. citizen, and faces a special naturalization hearing and potential citizenship grant under a misinformation act.
