Dubois mayor proclaims November 11 as the holiday in Clearfield County to honor Armistice Day. Local American Legion Post 17 VFW Post 813 and World War 1 Veterans Barracks 3001 plan observances on Nov 11 while state Legion officials note support for Oct 23 and possible dual celebrations. The American Legion group statewide says many will observe both dates and celebrate the historic day with community events. BNASEURD AP report states Tullah Hanley widow of oil magnate T Edward Hanley was arrested on charges of operating a dis orderly house and corrupting the morals of a minor. She was arraigned and freed on a $1,000 cash bond pending hearing after authorities say she ran a youth center. She described herself as a free lance widow and said she closed the center to await state permits while continuing an art gallery on the first floor. The widow indicated she still dances belly dances daily and hosts a go go dancer and a rock band on weekends. Her husband left a substantial fortune in brick, gas, and oil interests.
