Six Narrowly Escape As Freight Train Strikes Car
Six occupants of an Essex sedan narrowly escaped serious injury when their car was struck by a eastbound freight train at the Maple Avenue crossing of the Hiie Railroad at 11:40 Saturday night. Walter Gates 17 drove the car after a dance trip. Nedomys family members suffered injuries including a dislocated shoulder and a severe forehead gash. Corry hospital treatment was arranged for Nedomys and a child. others were bruised but released. Railroad officials continued the investigation. Latos reportedly had no license to operate the car owned by his father.

Philadelphia October 18 A 14 year old Ford son saved Charles B Ford Sr and Miss Blaire Moore after the Ford yacht sank in the Delaware River near Graymont Delaware. Ford Jr battled cold waters wrestled a wrecked timber to his father and helped keep Miss Moore afloat until help arrived. Lifeboats from the freighter Washussett rescued Ford and Miss Moore while George Revak and Mrs Gertrude H Ford perished and their bodies were not recovered.
