Jamestown Man Killed in Auto Crash
Peter George Zafernara, 74, formerly Peter George Pitro, of 40 Derby Street, died after being struck by an automobile on South Main near Menton Place. Driver Carl Strand, 20, owned by Strand Motor Car Co., was not at fault per Coroner Henry A. Bowers. Zafernara died instantly. ambulance took him to Jamestown General Hospital.

Church Supper a Big Success At St Pauls Lutheran
The Ladies Aid Society of St Pauls Lutheran church hosted a well attended supper raising a substantial amount for the church treasury. More than one hundred guests dined under attractively arranged orange and fruit decor in the hall. Mrs B E Hawking led the event with help from a capable committee. The program closed with Halloween games arranged by Mrs Fiarrison Keppel.
