Hild slain for revenge claims in Denver case
Denver police detective Leo O’Loughlin’s 10 year old daughter Leona’s body was found in Berkeley after she disappeared two days earlier. An autopsy explored a possible pure murder or a deliberate poison plot against the family. Coroner George Bostwick noted the theory of accidental drowning was unlikely. The detective and his wife were ill, limiting participation in the investigation. Merle Betts and Paul Betts left for Erie on business.
